Parking the truck on a Cumberland street

Cumberland Council takes truck parking on residential streets seriously. In a media release on trucks parking in residential streets, council reported more than 540 complaints about illegally parked trucks over six months, and restated that the driver of a heavy vehicle must not stop on a length of road in a residential area for longer than 1 hour. It defines heavy vehicles as 4.5 tonnes or more and long vehicles as 7.5 metres or longer.
