Quick & Easy Removals and Storage Pty Ltd are proud of our reputation as a friendly, courteous boutique removal company providing personalised service for each individual needs.
Our removalists are professional, well trained and take precautions to make sure your personal items are moved safe and sound.
However, there is always a risk that things may happen outside our control. Therefore, we recommend that you consider taking an insurance policy to protect your belongings whilst being transported or held in storage. After all, if you protect your valuable items whilst in your home, why wouldn’t you also insure them whilst being moved?
Quick & Easy Removals and Storage do have a comprehensive insurance coverage in the event that we are responsible for loss or damage to your goods, but not all events are our fault – for example:
- Fire starts in the building next door and spreads into our building, damaging your goods;
- A driver runs a red light and hits our truck carrying your goods;
- A pet accidentally trips or removalist whilst moving your goods.
As such we recommend that you arrange insurance to cover your assets to provide certainty as to their protection. Quick & Easy Removals and Storage provide various removal and storage insurance options to suit your budget which include blanket items cover, replacement cost, market value cover and restricted event cover.
We also offer insurance protection options if your goods are in storage at our facility.
Restricted Cover
This includes damage to goods in transit in case of fire, flood, truck/container overturning/collision or lightning.
Full Cover
This includes the restricted cover (above) as well as damages to your goods during loading, transit and unloading the truck / container and accidental damage.
Storage Cover
This covers your goods while at Quick & Easy Removal’s storage due to fire, flood, lightning or accidental damage.

The current market value of the item taking into consideration depreciation for age, condition, use and fair wear and tear.
In case the item is lost or destroyed, the policy pays the replacement cost up to the amount declared by you on the insurance declaration form or the cost of replacing the item with a similar make and model

Full Cover (Replacement) – Rate .65 % which is $6.5 per $1000 of cover minimum of $150
Storage Insurance
Full Cover (Per Month) – Rate 0.2% ($2/$1000) of Declared Value (Min Premium $20.00)

Frequently asked questions about insurance
Do I have to take an additional insurance cover?
No, there is no mandatory requirement to take out an insurance policy, however, it is recommended that you consider taking out an insurance policy because accidents do happen and this provides more certainty in protecting your assets against unforeseen events that can impact your belongings.
Is it recommended to take out an insurance for the move?
While we take good care of your furniture, accidents can occur, therefore, we offer a tailored insurance solution.
Do I need to insure everything?
We cannot give advice on what and what not to insure. You do not have to insure everything, but if you elect not to insure all items then you would need to complete a declaration outlining what items you are insuring.
How do I know what’s covered and what’s not?

Do I need a separate insurance for my goods in storage?
The storage insurance is different from the transit insurance, we also provide transit with storage extension to cover the goods while in our storage as well. Please call us to discuss for more details.
I don’t want to take an additional insurance policy, do I still need to complete the insurance declaration?
If you do not want to take an additional insurance cover, you do not have to complete an insurance declaration form.
Can I insure boxes if I pack them by myself?
Yes but cover is limited to Restricted cover only. The policy provides a maximum of $500 for non-delivery of a carton unless an itemised list of contents is provided before transit commences.
Damage or loss to contents is excluded unless there is evidence of external damage to carton.
Some other removalist companies offer “Free insurance.” Why don’t you also offer that?
We strongly recommend that you compare the policy coverage rather than the statement that free insurance is included. It may be that they are insured for certain events that they are liable for as is the case with all AFRA members, but this does not mean that your goods are insured.

Quick & Easy is an accredited member of Australian Furniture Removals Association (AFRA). AFRA accredits only those furniture removalists that have the necessary equipment, vehicles, premises and staff training needed to complete a professional move. AFRA members must have public liability insurance and carriers legal liability insurance.
